My son has been traveling on airplanes since he was an infant and he loves it. He has recently become intrigued in creating all different types of paper airplanes for himself and to give away to his friends. This is a fairly easy kid craft and it only takes a couple of minutes to create! The kids will surely enjoy this project.

Materials Needed : Regular sheet of printer paper, a small piece of tape & scissors (per paper airplane)
Step 1: Grab the sheet of paper (You can have them decorate it both sides free hand or print a pattern like the one below.)

Step 2: Grab the sheet of paper and fold it in half (vertically)

Step 3: Open the sheet of paper. Grab the top corners and fold it into the center fold (do same for both side)

Step 4: Grab the pair of scissors and cut off about 3/4 of the bottom of the paper (make sure to supervise the children while they use the scissors)

Step 5: Fold the remaining paper in half (horizontally), so the top flaps are in the side of the fold.

Step 6: Keep the paper still folded, grab the short end straight edge and fold it out to line up with the longer straight edge. (do this for both sides)

Step 7: I placed a very small piece of tape between the top triangles to keep it closed together (totally optional, this is just my preference)

Step 8: The final step is to enjoy!

You can create multiple projects with this easy craft. It's great for pretend play, to use as a pre-project for a child who's expecting to ride on an airplane for the first time, to use to as a project to learn about airplanes or even to use as party favors. Now it's your turn, comment below on how you used this craft.
